Privacy Policy

Tech Swamy (techswamy.com) is run by Vijay Rangan. This policy covers the internal tools Tech Swamy uses to publish and manage its own content and work: the Tech Swamy Publisher, a self-hosted scheduling tool at socials.techswamy.com, and the assistants that work with Tech Swamy's own Google and Meta accounts. These tools are used only by Tech Swamy staff, for accounts Tech Swamy owns, and are not offered to the public.
YouTube API Services
The Tech Swamy Publisher uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's use of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
What we access and why
- YouTube: channel name and picture, to show which channel is connected. We upload videos with their titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails and privacy settings, and read view and engagement figures for videos we published.
- Instagram (Meta): account name and picture. We publish posts and Reels, read and reply to comments on our posts, and read post insights.
- Gmail and Google Drive: read, label and draft emails in our own inbox, and store and organise our own files and video archive.
We use this data only to publish, schedule and review our own content and run our own work. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else, except service providers that host it for us (Cloudflare for network traffic) and where the law requires it.
Where it's stored
Access tokens, post drafts, schedules and media are stored on a server Tech Swamy controls and are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Statistics read from YouTube are refreshed or deleted within 30 days. The tools set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. They don't track you or use advertising cookies.
Removing access and deleting data
You can revoke access at any time:
- Google: Google security settings → Third-party access
- Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites
When access is revoked, or on request to the address below, we delete the stored tokens and any data obtained through that account within 7 days.
